Joanie “Chyna” Laurer Passes Away At 45

Reports are coming in that former WWE Women’s & Intercontinental Champion, Joanie “Chyna” Laurer, has passed away earlier this evening. She was 45 years old.

The former WWE Diva had faded from the spotlight after her years long stint with the promotion, where she debuted as the valet/bodyguard of Paul “Triple H” Levesque, and was one of the pioneers of the legendary WWE stable, Degeneration X.

Having made great strides for women in the WWE, she was seen as a force to be reckoned with, taking the fight to both men and women in the WWE. Whether it was Jeff Jarrett, Kane, or Stone Cold Steve Austin, she never backed down from any opponent, often getting into tussles with Superstars at ringside.

News of Chyna’s passing came via her Twitter account, which was run by her staff, and read:

#RipChyna ?????? all of us on team Chyna love you and will love you forever babe.
