NBA

With the Oklahoma City Thunder’s season coming to an end after a game seven loss to the Golden State Warriors there come a lot of questions about the future of their star forward, Kevin Durant.
The former MVP, will become a free agent this summer making him available to any team in the league. Durant, being the superstar that he is will be demanding max dollars from which ever team desires his services.
KD being the offensive sniper that he is could fit in with any team, but here are the top five landing spots for the slim reaper.

OKLAHOMA CITY
Yes, the Thunder are the top contenders to compete for Durants’ services once again for multiple reasons. Durant can sign a one year deal with a player option for the second giving him the opportunity to get more max money and a chance to collaborate with his long time running mate, Russell Westbrook about their futures together after Westbrook becomes a free agent in the summer of 2017.

BOSTON
Brad Stevens and his Boston Celtics are a star away from being a title contender and what better star is there on the market than KD? Boston, has the secondary scoring threat in all star Isaiah Thomas, young guards in Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart and they are loaded with draft picks.

SAN ANTONIO
With the depletion of their ‘core three’ of players (Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, Tony Parker) the San Antonio Spurs are in the market for a wing scorer. A new ‘core three’ of Kawahi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Kevin Durant could be a recipe to repeat past success, not to mention the length on the perimiter that the combination of Leonard and Durant would provide. This could be a move that keeps coach Greg Popovich around a little bit longer.

MIAMI

With Pat Riley calling the shots, no state tax and the appeal of South Beach at his disposal why wouldn’t Miami be a place that Durant wants to go play? Pairing up with play-making point guard Goran Dragic and future hall of famers Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh could spell trouble for the rest of the league. Especially playing in the Eastern Conference where the road to the finals would be a lot less painful than going through the stronger Western Conference.

GOLDEN STATE

The rich get richer with the addition of yet another weapon that is Kevin Durant adding him to an already potent offensive attack that includes the back to back MVP Stephen Curry and All Stars Klay Thompson and Draymond Green. How would any opposing coach game plan against this team? It truly would be a near flawless offensive team with match-up nightmares all over the court.
