Gerard Deulofeu moves on loan to Watford until the end of the season

Barcelona, Spain – Catalan winger Gerard Deulofeu has agreed to a move to Watford until the end of the season. He has been with Barcelona since 2003 and going up the ranks since. He has also been on several loans as he has yet to find a firm spot with the team.

However, he was signed on a permanent basis by Everton and spent two seasons there in which he played 37 times and scored twice. Following this, he moved to AC Milan and his good performances in Italy earnt him a return to FC Barcelona, where he has played 17 games and scored twice.

The winger from near Girona has played a total of 110 games for the first team and the B team. Watford will pay the Spaniard’s salary during his time at Vicarage Road, plus a potential additional payment of 1m euros.

He is the first signing made by Watford since they appointed former Malaga boss Javi Gracia earlier this month.
