Sunday night in Dallas, Broncos CB Aqib Talib was shot in the rear of his right thigh. The shot appears to have not damaged his leg severely. He was hospitalized on Sunday night and has been released and is back in Denver.

At this time, it is obviously clear that he was shot, but many questions are unanswered in the wake of this incident.

Talib has spoken on the incident and claimed that he doesn’t remember how he was shot, claiming that “Everything was a blur, and I was too intoxicated to remember what happened” in a police report.

One concept is that he was at a park in the Dallas Area at 3:30 am and shot himself upon discharging his gun.

Another theory is that rather, he was at a Dallas Stripclub known as “V Live“. Aqib may have been shot and two others were wounded as a result of gunshots.

Regardless of how he was injured, the NFL is now investigating Talib. In the State of Texas, the gun laws require a certificate to have a gun; it is also illegal to possess a weapon while intoxicated and to discharge a weapon in public. If indeed Talib did fire his weapon into his leg, he would be facing three criminal charges, including a Class 3 felony, Class A misdemeanor and a Class B misdemeanor.

Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak stated that “the only thing I’m concerned about is his health” on behalf of the incident.

Kubiak also claimed:

“In my time here, Aqib has been a great teammate, he’s worked his butt off, very accountable around here and I don’t expect that to change.”

The Dallas police department is still investigating this manner and has not yet released a formal statement to the public. On Monday, Talib missed the Broncos team visit to the White House and is at home in Denver.
