NASHVILLE-The Anaheim Ducks were looking to slice the series lead in half in Game 3 against the Nashville Predators Tuesday night at Bridgestone Arena.

Head coach Bruce Boudreau said the Ducks need to do a better job of staying disciplined after the whistle and that will be an emphasis in Game 3, according to NHL.com.
The Predators tried to take a 3-0 series lead for the first time in franchise history, but they expected the Ducks to play their best game of the series and would try to feed off of the home crowd to match that energy.
The Ducks rang off the scoring at 10:05 of the first period. Off a turnover, Shawn Horcoff made an excellent pass to Jamie McGinn, who one-timed it past Pekka Rinne to give his team a 1-0 lead.
Sami Vatanen fired the puck wide of the net, but Rickard Rakell redirected it between his legs and into the net to make it a 2-0 game at 11:33 of the second period.
Chris Stewart was stoned in front after one-timing a beauty from Ryan Getzlaf, but buried his own rebound to extend the Ducks’ lead to 3-0 at 17:06.
The Ducks shutout the Preds 3-0 in Game 3. Frederik Andersen made 27 saves for Anaheim while Rinne made 18 saves for Nashville.
Preds continue to lead the series 2-1.
