Blue Jays Trade For Jason Grilli

Former closer Jason Grilli is headed to the Blue Jays. The Braves 

In 2015, Grilli tore his Achilles which ended his year. He hadhad 24 saves through 36 games before getting hurt.

Along with Grilli, the Blue Jays will be getting $2,175,000 from Atlanta to offset most of Grilli’s contract.

The player the Braves will be getting is  Sean Ratclilffe. Ratclilffe was an 18th round pick in the 2013 draft. He was 2-2 with a 3.60 ERA in single-A last year. He will report to the Braves extended Spring Training program.

Arodys Vizcaino has emerged as the new closer for the Braves. Vizcaino has six saves with a 1.66 ERA.

The Braves have called up Ryan Weber to fill Grilli’s spot on the roster.
