Jennie Finch Makes History

BridgeportJennie Finch has became the first woman to manage a professional baseball team. She served as guest manager for the Bridgeport Bluefish.

This has been a while in the making as the Bluefish announced this back in may. Along with being the guest manager, Jennie also got to throw out the first pitch and meet the fans.

The Bluefish are looking to increase ticket sales and having an all-time great softball player being the guest manager is a good way to do it.

This move is huge and could set the table for a female manage in the majors in years to come.

Jennie is no newbie to the sports world. She played for the University of Arizona from 1999-2002. She helped them win a national title in 2001 and holds two Olympic Medals (one gold and one silver).
