Good ol’ Johnny Football aka Johnny Manziel  turned himself into authorities in Texas earlier today. Manziel is accused of beating up his ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, back in January. She filed a restraining order against him claiming she was in fear for her life. She also claimed Manziel ruptured her eardrum.

If convicted on the assault charge, Manziel faces up to a year in jail. According to TMZ Sports, Manziel wasn’t in the station very long and was polite and cooperative.  He was released on a $1500 bond and will be arraigned Thursday morning in a Dallas courtroom.

The former Texas A&M and Cleveland Browns star Quarterback has fallen on hard times but really has some soul searching to do. This is just one of the many issues he has faced. He wore out his welcome in Cleveland for repeatedly missing practice time, his hard party life, and bad habits.

Just a few weeks ago, he and some of his friends rented a house and ransacked the place. It’s definitely not sure good look for a player who is looking to not only rehabilitate himself but also his football career. At this point, it looks like his chances are slowly drifting away.

Update* 5/5/16*

Johnny took to twitter after he turned himself in yesterday. He had a smug look on his face. This took the Internet by storm and he then decided to tweet that he’s thankful to have a shirt on this time. That’s a reference to his previous shirtless mugshot, which was taken back in 2012 while at Texas A&M. Shortly after the tweet went up, it was then deleted.
