On Wednesday May 11th, the ace for the Washington Nationals Max Scherzer threw a 20 strikeout performance against his former team, the Detroit Tigers.

Scherzer had just signed a 7 year, 210 million dollar free agent deal to the Washington Nationals this past winter.

He has had 3 All Star game appearances, and won the American League Cy Young in 2013 for the Detroit Tigers.

Scherzer has been struggling as of late, and tonight seems to be the end of his early spring trough.

He struck out each these men 3 times: Ian Kinsler, JD Martinez, Miguel Cabrera, and James McCann.

Even though he gave up two solo home runs to Jose Iglesias and JD Martinez, along with 4 other hits, this truly has been one of the most dominating pitching performances of this decade.
