MLB Injuries Piling Up

MLB – Injuries

Over the last couple of weeks, the MLB has seen some big stars go down with injuries. Some of those stars include: Jason Heyward, Carlos Carrasco, Jordan Zimmermann, Lucas Duda and Justin Upton.

Lets start with Jason Heyward. Heyward ran into the wall at AT&T Park and injured his rib cage. The injury happened Friday and Heyward is listed as day-to-day.

Carrasco was placed on the 15-day DL May 20th. He has been throwing bullpen sessions and is scheduled to throw a 3-inning game in Lake County on the 28th.

Zimmermann has been diagnosed with a grade 1 groin strain and will miss his next start but will not be placed on the DL.

Duda has been placed on the 15-day DL with a stress fracture in his back. He is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Upton is listed as day-to-day with quad tightness. He was scratched from his last start but he is not expected to miss much time.

Other notable Injuries include: J.J. Hardy  (15-day DL), Miguel Cabrera (day-to-day), Mike Moustakas (day-to-day), Adrian Gonzalez (day-to-day), Ryan Braun (day-to-day), and Alex Rodriguez (15-day DL).

Note –

Soon enough, Yu Darvish will be brought off the disabled list and put into the Texas Rangers rotation.
