As the Golden State Warriors attempt to complete a stunning comeback from a 3-1 series deficit against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, it seems like every aspect of Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference Finals is being dissected.

Now you can add the officiating crew for Monday night’s game to that list. The three-man crew for Game 7 is Danny Crawford, Mike Callahan and Jason Phillips with Bill Kennedy as an alternate official. But for some reason one of the NBA’s top officials Scott Foster did not get the lead spot after the NBA replaced him with Crawford in a 11th hour type thing.

Crawford worked Game 6 of the Raptors-Cavaliers series on May 27. The last game Foster officiated was Game 3 of the Warriors-Thunder on May 22. But for some reason Crawford is getting the call instead of Foster. And that could be a set up for theorists as the Warriors are 2-1  this postseason when Danny Crawford is the head official, but only 1-2 when Scott Foster is the head official. Theorists also pointed at a ill fated post on Ticketmaster’s Facebook page last week listing a NBA Finals game four post with a Golden State-Cleveland match-up, making the officiating change even more suspicious.

But, with any winner-take-all Game 7, the officiating will be under a microscope. But with so much riding on the line Monday, the officials will be even more scrutinized.
