Red Sox vs Mariners game 2 preview

The Boston Red Sox, yesterday traveled to Seattle, Washington to play the first of a three game series against the Mariners. The Red Sox unfortunately dropped the first game, even more surprising they weren’t able to score even a single run. Now just nine games over .500 the Red Sox go into tonight’s game hoping to tie the series up at one a piece. On the mound for the Red Sox the six year veteran looks to get the Red Sox back to 10 games over .500. Pomeranz has had a good year so far, going 10-4 with a 3.51 ERA, 108 SO and a 1.34 WHIP. On the other side, pitching for the Mariners is the one and only King Felix. Felix so far on the season is 5-4 with a 3.88 ERA and 60 SO.

With the way things seem right now, today’s game to me feels like it’s going to be a low scoring affair, with whoever scores first wins. Both Felix Hernandez and Drew Pomeranz should keep the game close. Hoping for Felix to make a mistake before Pomeranz does. The line up for tonight’s game goes as followed; Mookie Betts (RF) Andrew Benintendi (LF) Dustin Pedroia (2B) Hanley Ramirez (DH) Jackie Bradley Jr. (CF) Xander Bogaerts (SS) Mitch Moreland (1B) Christian Vazquez (C) Rafael Devers (3B) and the pitching Drew Pomeranz.

A pretty standard line up for the Red Sox going into tonight’s game looking to get the job done. From this point on in the season, the Red Sox are going to have to turn things up. For their rivals New York Yankees are coming up hot on their trail. Only 2.0 games back of the Red Sox, with the rest of the division not that far behind. So, lets hope that the Red Sox can pull a win out and keep adding to the lead in the A.L. East.
