Chase Elliott Looks to Remain Hot

Entering this weekends Playoff race at Talladega Chase Elliott has two straight second-place finishes and three in the first four Playoff races. As a result of Elliott’s strong showing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, he catapulted from 9th to 4th on the Playoff Leaderboard. This, however, still isn’t a comfortable spot as he is still just 16 points above the cutoff. Chase Elliott looks once again look for a strong run this weekend at Talladega SuperSpeedway to keep his hot streak alive. Chase would like nothing more than to better these past two finishes though.

In his career, he has finished runner-up six times and victory lane has eluded him thus far. However, Talladega has not been great for Elliott in his first three races at the track. While he does have an average start of 4.3 and a pole at the track the races have not gone as well. In three starts he has finished 5th, 12th, and 30th. The 30th place finish happened in the year’s first race at the track. Elliott also has an average driver rating of 91.4 in his three starts at the track. While Talladega hasn’t always been kind to Chase it is still a track where anything can happen and Elliott would love to end up in victory lane.
