Full Preview Of This Weekend’s Food City 500 At Bristol Motor Speedway.

This weekend, NASCAR’s finest head to Bristol Motor Speedway for the Food City 500. This is the eighth race of the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. In last year’s race, Carl Edwards outlasted the competition to win this race over Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Can Joe Gibbs Racing Rebound?: From the now-retired Edward’s concrete dominance, to Kyle Busch’s great track record. It’s no secret JGR has a strong suit for tracks like Bristol in recent years. They’ll will need every bit of that goodness this weekend however after a slow start to the 2017 campaign. With zero wins to the table, look for Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth to lead the team away to end that this weekend.

Home Sweet Home.: Trevor Bayne enters this weekend race at Bristol searching for form. But, some home cooking could be the answer for the Knoxville, Tennessee native. In last year’s Food City 500, he placed 5th for one of his best results of the season.

Larson Continues To Lead The Way.: Kyle Larson has shown that 2017 is going to be his breakout season. The points leader added another runner up finish at Texas 2 weeks ago to extend his stronghold at the top. However, the true test will be this weekend where his form at Bristol isn’t so great. His best finish last year in the two Bristol races was a 24th in the August race.

High Hopes For Harvick.: Kevin Harvick enters this weekend Food City 500 in warming form. After a 4th place finish at Texas to practically rebound from a slow start, he’s now looking for two straight at Bristol. The winner of last August’s race hasn’t finished outside the top ten at Bristol since March of 2015.

Fantasy Insider.: Here are some drivers to use, avoid, and even some sleepers to watch out for during the Food City 500 race weekend. Must use drivers include Jimmie Johnson, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kyle Busch, and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Sleepers include Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer, Trevor Bayne, and Chris Buescher. Must avoid drivers include David Ragan, Matt Kenseth, Martin Truex Jr., and Kasey Kahne.

When And Where To Watch?: The Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway starts Sunday at 2PM EST on your local FOX affiliate (Subject to change)
