This weekend, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the second race of the Playoffs. The driver who is probably looking forward to this stop on the schedule the most is Kevin Harvick. Recently Harvick has been on a hot streak, with 8 top-tens in his last 12 starts. Last week in the Playoff opener, Harvick led 59 laps en route to a third place finish.

As Kevin Harvick and the 4 team head to New Hampshire, they should look at it as a place where they can win. Harvick is the defending winner of this race after all. That is not the only reason however. New Hampshire has always been a track where Harvick has performed well. In 33 starts at the track he has 2 wins, 10 top-five finishes, 18 top-tens, and an average finish of 12.8. If those numbers aren’t good enough for his career overall, the past 6 races at New Hampshire have been nothing short of spectacular. Posting 5 top-fives in the last 6 races including his win in the event last year.

When NASCAR turns over to the Playoffs, teams look forward to tracks they perform well. For Harvick and the 4 team, New Hampshire is one of those tracks; they will be looking for their second straight win at the track.

The ISMConnect 300 will be live from New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. Coverage can be found on NBCSN, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio starting at 1 PM EST.
