This weekend, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series heads to Kansas for the Hollywood Casino 400. It is the final race of the Playoff’s Round of 12. On Sunday Kevin Harvick looks to defend his win in last years race at the track.

Kevin Harvick and his team should be looking forward to this weekend’s race, as they have struggled as of late. In the first five races of the Playoffs, Harvick has finished outside the top 15 three times in placing 36th at New Hampshire, 17th at Dover, and 20th at Talladega. However, the other two finishes he has are both 3rd place finishes at Chicago and Charlotte. Both of which are 1.5-mile ovals just like Kansas. So even with the recent woes the team has had, expect the 4 car to still have speed.

Kansas also happens to be one of Harvick’s best tracks. As this weekend not only does he look to repeat but Kevin Harvick looks to tie Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson for the most wins at Kansas with their total at three. Harvick also boasts seven top fives and twelve top tens at the track.

In terms of advanced driver statistics, Harvick sticks out from the others as well. Kevin has an average running position of 9.7 which is the best among active drivers at the track. Harvick also ranks third in average finish (8.6) and driver rating (105.8).

So during Sunday’s race expect to see the 4 car up front as Harvick looks to advance to the Playoff’s Round of 8.

4 driver’s Playoff hopes will be over in Kansas, so don’t miss this elimination race. The Hollywood Casino 400 will be Sunday, October 22nd at 3 PM EST. Coverage will be on NBCSN, MRN, and SiriusXMNASCAR Radio.
