For the 9th straight year, the NASCAR Postseason awards banquet takes place at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel.

Don’t set your DVR’s for a Friday night, though. This year it happens on a Thursday night, November 30th, a change from the usual Friday night festivities.

The awards ceremony is the last leg of Champions Week,  including NASCAR’s biggest drivers taking over the Las Vegas strip for burnouts, fanfare and autograph sessions.

Steve Phelps, NASCAR Executive Vice President, says that awards season is the time when our entire industry, including our passionate fans, gets together to formally crown a champion, and celebrate a memorable season.

“With the return to Las Vegas for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Awards that trend promises to continue.”

Rossi Ralenkotter, CEO of Las Vegas’ Visitors and Conventions Bureau, is excited to welcome NASCAR back for Championship Week.

“It’s been a tremendous year for NASCAR in Las Vegas, with another great Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race this spring and the announcement that we’ll become the only destination on the NASCAR schedule with two, triple-header weekends starting in 2018”

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Awards will air on NBCSN, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

A full lineup of activities for  Champion’s Week in Las Vegas is set to be announced at a later date.
