Is Isaiah Thomas the answer for the struggling Cavaliers?

New Cleveland Cavaliers’ star Isaiah Thomas is edging to get back on the court.

This summer Thomas was part of a blockbuster trade that sent him to Cleveland. The trade that almost didn’t happen due to a gruesome hip injury.

What Is Wrong with the Cavaliers?

The Cavaliers are not having a stellar season thus far. The 5-7 Cavs are in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.  A team, with great talent, should be excelling, but LeBron James and many other play-makers seem to be in a slump at the start of the season.

Perhaps the exit of NBA star Kyrie Irving caused this Cavaliers team to start the season off at 5-7.

When will Thomas Return?

All-star Point Guard, Thomas is edging to get back on the court as soon as possible. After suffering a terrible hip injury, last May in the NBA Eastern Conference Finals. Keep in mind that last year the former Husky suited up against the Cavs in the eastern conference finals.

Although the Cavalier’s already have 12 games under their belt this season, Thomas has yet to play in one.

SB Nation reported Thomas said: “I am not damaged. I’ll be back and I’ll be the same player.”
With this abysmal start to the season, many Cavaliers’ fans are hoping that Thomas is the missing piece and that he will help this team return to their winning ways.

When asked about Thomas’ return reported LeBron James said: We can’t rely on just one person. We can’t rely on just one person for us to be good as we want to be, whether it’s IT or myself or Tristan being out. We have guys who have to step up.”

They are hoping to have Thomas back on the court by January.

Last season the 5-foot-9 guard averaged 28.9 points per game with the Boston Celtics. There is no doubt that his return would definitely help this struggling team.

Can Thomas help turn this season around for the Cavs? It’s safe to say that we will have to wait until January to find out.

What’s your take on IT? Will he help or hurt the Cav’s?
