Everyone one wants to see an NBA finals rematch between the Cleveland’s Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. However, both teams need to get past their conference finals opponents.

Sunday night the Warriors caught a break after Kawhi Leonard rolled his ankle twice in the second half. Will the Celtics upset the Cavaliers or will LeBron James lead his team to another finals appearance?

Regular Season Rematch:

The Eastern Conference finals will be decided by the team who can win on the road and protect home court. After watching the Wizards and Celtics clash in the Conference Semi Finals, it’s obvious that the Celtics will have their hands full with Cleveland.

Boston can match up with Cleveland, but do they have enough talent to win the series.  If you are a Boston fan you have to realize that the Cav’s can win on the road, which they have done throughout the playoffs.

Boston did not win a game on the road against the Wizards, but managed to protect home court. In order for Boston to defeat Cleveland they must win on the road and protect home court.

Head coach Bradley Stevens needs to make sure that the supporting cast shows up in order to help Isaiah Thomas. Cleveland will make Thomas defend and play honest defense, which may cause fatigue for the 5’9 guard. Unlike the Wizards the Cav’s will play both sides of the ball for 48 minutes.

Key’s To The Game:

The keys for Boston will boil down to:

Protecting Home Court

Switching on Defense

Bench Scoring

Containing the Big Three

Winning on the Road

In order for the Cav’s to advance to the finals they need to remain focused on the task at hand. Sometimes teams can assume victory before hand and suffer a surprise defeat. Head coach Tyronn Lue will be instrumental in this series.

The keys for Cleveland will boil down to:

Transition Defense

Ball Movement

Defending Home Court

Winning on the Road

Not Watching the Western Conference Finals

The Celtics are the underdog, but this series will go 6 games and Cleveland will make it to the NBA finals. However, this series will not be a walk in the park for the defending champions.
