Mark Cuban Response:

The Mavericks investigation started from Earl K. Sneed, a former writer who was fired prior to the story releasing Tuesday and former CEO and President Terdema Ussery.

Sneed was involved in an altercation during the 2010-11 season where he abused his former girlfriend, per Sports Illustrated. After a recent interview with ESPN, Dallas owner, Mark Cuban said that he was not aware of the detail of the 2011 altercation.

Even though Cuban admitted that he overlooked the situation he took full ownership of the matter. He expressed that he wanted to help Sneed through his past.

In addition to Sneed’s past, Cuban wanted Sneed to continue to work with the organization while going to counseling. Cuban did not want to fire the former writer and let him work somewhere and continue the similar behavior.

In other words, Cuban may not have had the time to look into the matter which screams volumes.

The former Mavs writer apologized and explained how went to counseling after his 2011 and 2014 domestic violence occurrences. Wednesday, Cuban decided to hire Milgrim and Krutoy who will start the Mavericks investigation.
