LAFC closing Designated Player Wesley Sneijder for opening season in 2018

Los Angeles, USA – Los Angeles Football Club close to signing Wesley Sneijder as first designated player of the club. The former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter Milan star will close a two-year deal with the MLS newcomers, according to ESPNFC.  Per the report, Sneijder’s deal is worth $3.5 million a year, linking up with the club in January 2018.

The Dutchman currently plays in Turkey with Galatasaray. The signing would make the 33-year-old the new quick-face of the club.

In his prime, Sneijder was one of the best attacking midfielders in the world. His career has been successful everywhere he’s been, winning Champions with Inter and titles in every league. His arrival would give the club a huge splash. However, LAFC has been linked to Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as possible star player moves. Furthermore, all the rumors remain in the air.
