Pogba Back For Celta Vigo Clash

Europa League

POGBACK, Pogba returns for vital semi final clash.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho today confirmed the Pogba news, speaking ahead of the clash, Mourinho stated.

“Smalling, Jones and Pogba are back and, in relation to the Europa League, it’s very important.

“They came on time. We have two important matches in one week against Celta. It’s important to have everybody back.”

Paul Pogba will return to the United midfield and this is huge news for them.  The Frenchman has scored 2 goals and assisted one so far in the competition. His return his vital to the Red Devil’s.

United’s injury trouble gets better.

The return of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling will help United hugely. The Red Devil’s had to deploy Matteo Darmian as a makeshift center half against Swansea on Sunday as their defensive injury woes worsened. Both Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw limped off in the game. Speaking ahead of the game, Mourinho gave an update on Bailly’s situation.

“Bailly is ready to play. He has this kind of personality that he fights against every problem unless it’s impossible.”

The return of three central defenders and their best midfielder will certainly give United hope going into this semi final clash. This game is the first meeting between the clubs in European competition. The Europa League is the only major club competition Manchester United have not won, and it is one they will need to win this season to have any hope of Champions League football next season.

United are one point behind bitter rivals Man City in the Premier League. United’s still have to play Spurs and Arsenal, and Mourinho claims the Europa League is the priority.

It all hangs in the balance as United travel to Vigo tomorrow night. Ajax thumped Lyon 4-1 in the other semi final, all eyes will turn to Spain. Manchester United vs Celta Vigo is live from 8.05 tomorrow night.
