We are just 10 days away from the start of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The eight-team best-on-best tournament will run from Sept. 17 to Oct. 1 in Toronto. In the next couple of days, all eight teams will be playing in pre-tournament warm-up games to get their systems down right and get a glimpse at possible line combinations.

With practices already underway, we are hearing reports of what lines and defensive pairings are looking like during practice. That can obviously change after the warm-up games.

In this article, I will give you my predictions on what the lines, defensive pairings, and netminder would be in the first game of the World Cup if I were the head coach of each of the eight teams.

(Lines will read: LW-C-RW. Defensive pairings will read: LD-RD.)

Team Canada
