AC Milan Luca Antonelli will be out for at least two weeks with a leg injury

Milan, Italy – AC Milan left-back Luca Antonelli suffered a leg injury during training and will be out at least two to four weeks, the club has confirmed.

The club said in a statement Antonelli will miss at least two weeks of action, but Sky Sport Italia has placed the recovery time at a month.

The injury crisis is escalating at San Siro, with Jack Bonaventura out for the rest of the season with a thigh tear and Mattia De Sciglio sidelined for a month with a sprained ankle.

Davide Calabria is also struggling with a fitness problem and has barely played all season.

Leonel Vangioni – a summer signing who has yet to make a start this season – is now manager Vincenzo Montella’s only viable option in the position. The Argentine arrived from River Plate, making only two Serie A appearances for a grand total of 19 minutes.

Martin Caceres is being targeted to alleviate the defensive issues.

Down to seventh place in the Serie A standings, the Rossoneri have claimed four out of a possible 12 points in 2017 so far.
