Adoree’ Jackson Looks To Be A Dangerous Weapon for the Titans

Adoree’ Jackson has been selected by 18th overall by the Tennessee Titans in the 2017 NFL Draft.  Jackson, a cornerback from USC, could make an immediate impact on many spots on the field.  Along with playing corner, he can serve as a return specialist and also possibly contribute in some offensive packages.

Jackson Had An Outstanding Career At USC

Coming out of high school, Adoree’ Jackson was a highly touted athlete.  Jackson was a two-sport star at Junipero Serra High School in California where he played football and ran track.  He was rated as a 4-star corner and was the top rated corner in his class.  After being sought after by many major programs, Jackson decided to stay close to home and play for the Trojans.

Jackson started in all three seasons that he spent at USC.  In his freshman season, he receive Freshman All-American and Pac-12 Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.  He also was named honorable mention All-Conference.  He contributed in a very efficient manner on defense, offense, and special teams in his second year.  On defense, he was named first-team All-Conference as he finished with two interceptions and eight pass breakups.  On offense, Jackson finished with 27 receptions for 414 yards and two touchdowns.

He also excelled as a returner as he finished with 941 total yards and two return touchdowns.  Those numbers made him a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award which is rewarded to the nation’s most versatile player.  In his final season with the Trojans, Jackson finished with five interceptions and 11 pass breakups.  These numbers helped him receive the Jim Thorpe Award and first-team All-Conference and All-American honors.

Jackson was also a track star while at USC.  He was an All-American in track in both 2015 and 2016.  Jackson also participated in Olympic trials in 2016 but failed to make the cut.

Adoree’ Jackson Will Be A Player To Watch For In 2017

Adoree’ Jackson is a player that I believe will end up being considered a steal in this draft.  This is due to the fact that he can fill in at multiple positions for a team.  Look for Jackson to be a Pro Bowl returner at an early stage in his career, as well as possibly a Pro Bowl corner.
