Barcelona-Lyon Deal For Samuel Umtiti

A deal for Lyon Defender Samuel Umtiti is in place

Barcelona, Spain – According French newspaper L’Équipe Ligue 1 club Lyon and Barcelona have a deal in place for the transfer of French Defender Samuel Umtiti for 30 million euros.

The French centerback is 22-years-old and will sign with the blaugrana club upon terminating his participation with France in the Euro 2016.

It is also known that Lyon will be signing Cameroonian centerback Nicolas N’Koulou and Argentinian Emanuel Mammana to cover the space left by Umtiti.

Barcelona front office is being said to have a fix amount in place that will not go over the 30 million euros and will wait until Umtiti passes the medical exam to close the deal with the French club.

The signing could be made for a five-year-contract.

Umtiti has played for the Lyon 131, scoring 3 goals. He is of Cameroonian decent and was selected by French national team manager Didier Deschamps to be be part of his Euro 2016 squad, replacing injured Jeremy Mathieu.
