Braves Fire Manager Fredi Gonzalez after Horrific Start

The Atlanta Braves have fired their head skipper Fredi Gonzalez after a dismal 9-28 start.

A Gonzalez firing really doesn’t come as a shock to the baseball world seeing that the Braves did get out to one of the worst starts in MLB history. The Braves were not expected to be one of the league’s best this year.

But they weren’t expected to be this bad. With a 2-17 record at home and being 13.5 games behind the Nationals the season has already been lost.

The Braves are bringing in their longtime third base coach Brian Snitker as the interim manager to try and stop the bleeding. Snitker does have some experience managing as he was the Braves Triple-A manager in Gwinnett.

The Braves will start looking for a manger as soon as they can, hopefully one that will spark the team to win some games and get to double digit wins. Someone believe a man that could bring some of this heart would be ex manger for the Marlins and White Sox, Ozzie Guillen.

He could concur some fireworks to the Braves offense that has a league low 11 home runs.

With the Braves rebuilding for the future they knew coming in to this season it wouldn’t be a great one so I wouldn’t be surprised if they look to trade away even more players to continue to build up a strong young team of the future and once again compete for the NL East crown.
