Javier Chicharito Hernandez is being targeted by Sevilla and Valencia

Madrid, Spain – Former Real Madrid striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez is being regarded by La Liga sides Sevilla and Valencia, according to reports.

Chicharito is currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany, since joining from Manchester United in 2015, but is reportedly keen on a return to La Liga.

The Mexican landed in Germany after a loan spell in Spain with Real Madrid and is in the form of his life. The former United man has scored almost a goal a game so far this year (seven goals and an assist in eight games) and was equally impressive last season, registering his best season in Europe so far (26 goals in 40 games). His form hasn’t gone unnoticed, and he could now be in line for a move back to Spain.

Fox Sports Mexico state that representatives from both Valencia and Sevilla have contacted the striker’s agent regarding a move with both keen to reinforce their striking options.

Cesare Prandelli is reportedly keen to add a striker to replace Paco Alcacer, who left for Barcelona in August and Hernandez was previously considered by the club before his move to Real Madrid, before they opted for a deal with Alvaro Negredo instead.

Meanwhile Jorge Sampaoli would like a quality striker to provide competition for Luciano Vietto and Wissam Ben Yedder. On Monchi’s list Emmanuel Adebayor’s name also appears. Good news for Sevilla is that the player is in a relationship with Spanish journalist Lucia Villalon and would be happy to return to La Liga. Bad news is that his release fee clause is 45m euros and Bayer Leverkusen won’t let him go easily.
