Chris Boswell Doesn’t Need The Juice To Produce

Boswell Given “Juice” Test Following Career Game

Chris Boswell had the game of his career against the Cincinnati Bengals, and the NFL thought it would be a good time to check to see if this guy was on the juice. Chris Boswell said that he has never been drug tested in his career, but got a “random” drug test on Wednesday morning after going a perfect 6/6 on field goals, making his lone extra point try, and making a touchdown saving tackle.

The Pittsburgh Steelers were having trouble getting the ball into the end zone against the Bengals, but luckily for them, they have a man with a robotic leg. Five of his six field goals came from longer than 40 yards, and he tied a Steelers record for most field goals made in a single game. Boswell posted on his Twitter account about his “random” drug test.

“If I’m on steroids than I definitely need a refund cuz I got the wrong juice”

He also posted a photo of the note from the NFL on his Twitter page. After his perfect day, you would think he would get a pat on the back instead of an accusation. But on the contrary, Boswell was not awarded AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after making the most field goals in a single game by any kicker this season. It was awarded to Ryan Succop, who made just two field goals and a single extra point.

Chris Boswell is on his way to being one of the most consistent kickers in Steelers history. Jeff Reed is one guy who comes to mind when thinking of Steelers kickers, but Boswell‘s numbers show that he will be better than Reed. In 2015, he set the record for most field goals made by a Steelers kicker in their first season with the team with 29 made. He also set the record for highest field goal percentage on at least 25 attempts in a single season with 90.6%. Although the Steelers have only played two postseason games, Boswell is tied for most field goals made in a single postseason by a Steelers kicker with seven.

Chris Boswell is having an outstanding season, and the Steelers will continue to call on him when they need points. With the Steelers having the three “Killer B’s” in Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, and Le’Veon Bell, they may want to add a fourth member if Chris Boswell continues to let the robot juice flow through that leg.
