Christopher Bell Wins Active Pest Control 200

Sophomore Truck Series driver Christopher Bell flat out dominated the field Saturday to win the Active Pest Control 200. This was his third career win in the Camping World Truck Series and first of the 2017 season. Matt Crafton finished second, followed by Sauter, Rhodes, and Chase Elliott rounding out the top 5.

Bell dominated and won the race’s first two stages, leading the first 83 laps in the process. But, teammate and KBM owner Kyle Busch took the lead on the stops following the second stage. It looked like he was going to run away with the race just like hours ago. But, Busch cut down a right front on the restart, handing Bell back the lead. It looked like a dominating performance for Christopher Bell was in the bag.

But, rookie Austin Centric spun and brought out a late race yellow with 5 laps to go. The race was restarted with only 2 laps to go as a result. Matt Crafton gave it his all and tried to catch Bell, but it was little too late. Christopher led a race high 99 laps en route to the victory.

“This thing was really fast all weekend.” Bell said on FS1 after his win. “It was a dream machine. It was really, really good.”

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is on hiatus until April 1st at Martinsville for the Alpha Energy Solutions 250.
