Indians Win 11th Straight, Longest Streak In 34 years

On Tuesday, the Cleveland Indians beat the Atlanta Braves 5-3 to extend their win streak to 11.

11 wins in a row is the longest for the Indians franchise since 1982 when that team also won 11 straight.

The Indians have been pitching great and hitting the ball with force.

During the streak, Indians starting pitchers have not allowed more than three runs and have limited the opposition to just 19 earned runs in 11 games while posting a 2.08 ERA.

This historic streak has pushed the Indians lead in the AL Central to 5.5 games over the Kansas City Royals.

On the offensive side of the streak, the Indians have 21 homers during the streak and have outscored opponents 73-25 in 11 games.

Some critics are not hanging much weight on the streak as it has came against the White Sox, Rays, and Braves but it is helping the Indians gain much-needed momentum going into the All-star break.

The Indian players know that every win is important and teams need to take advantage of hot streaks when they can.

On Wednesday, the Indians will look to keep the streak alive as they take on the Braves at Turner Field.

If Cleveland can get the win, they will have a 12-game winning streak for the first time since 1922.
