DEWALT Extends Relationship With Matt Kenseth, JGR

DEWALT Tools announced Thursday an expanded partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and driver of the 20 Sprint Cup Series car Matt Kenseth.

DEWALT has added four races to their 2016 primary sponsorship aboard the #20 Toyota Camry. Those races are all during the Chase for the Sprint Cup and are as follows: Chicago, Dover, Kansas, and Homestead.  Also, the power tool maker will use it’s new partnership to promote the launch of it’s new FLEXVOLT line of power tools.

“We’re thrilled to continue to work with Joe Gibbs Racing as NASCAR and DEWALT share a lot of commonalities,” said Scott Bannell, Vice President for Corporate Brand Marketing, Stanley Black & Decker. “Our FLEXVOLT launch ties perfectly to the power and freedom exemplified by racing.”

Additionally, DEWALT also announced that it will provide primary sponsorship for a total of six races in the NASCAR XFINITY Series for the rest of the season with drivers Erik Jones (20) and Daniel Suarez (19).

Finally, Beginning with the 2017 season, DEWALT will take over the primary sponsorship for the 15 races on the #20 Toyota Camry in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series. Along with the expanded schedule of primary paint schemes, they will also have associate branding on the #20 Toyota in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series whenever they are not already serving as the primary sponsor.

DEWALT has been a long time sponsor of Matt Kenseth, dating back to his Roush-Fenway days. The new deal ensures him extended loyalty with the power tool maker.
