Cochabamba, Bolivia – Legendary retired Argentina international Diego Armando Maradona has been confirmed as a candidate to emerge as manager of the Bolivia national team.

Cliver Rocha, treasurer of Bolivian Soccer Federation (FBF), confirmed that Maradona has been offered to take charge of the national team.

“A manager called me to offer Pumpido (Nery Pumpido) and Maradona,” assure Rocha to El Deber Radio.

Maradona and Pumpido join the list of managers to take over Bolivia who has been without a boss since Julio Cesar Baldivieso was sacked after a poor presentation at the Copa America. Bolivia is still hopeful about reaching the World Cup milestone, but are currently second to last with just three points in the CONMEBOL standings for World Cup qualifications.

Bolivia, who will host Peru in September in La Paz, will have to narrow the list down and pick from the number of names that have been thrown into the jar. That list include Gustavo Costas, Miguel Angel Russo, Angel Guillermo Hoyos and Cesar Farias.
