Manchester United Eric Bailly will be out two months with a knee injury

Manchester, United Kingdom – Manchester United have been dealt a major blow after it emerged that central defender Eric Bailly will be out for two months, the club announced.

Bailly pulled up with a knee problem during the humiliating 4-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday and subsequent medical tests have forecast a two month spell on the sidelines.

The Reds boss Jose Mourinho confirmed the injury:

“He is injured and I am afraid he is badly injured,” Mourinho told reporters at the post-match press conference. “In his knee, in the ligament area. He feels it is really bad.”

Bailly joined Manchester United from La Liga side Villarreal this past summer for $43.6 millions.

This is a huge setback for the Special One’s side.
