Frank de Boer Has Been Confirmed as Inter Milan New Head Coach

Milan, Italy – Inter Milan and Dutchman Frank de Boer have agreed on a three year contract to become the Serie A side new boss following Roberto Mancini’s departure on Monday, the club announced.

Former Manchester City manager Mancini left the San Siro by mutual consent due to a breakdown in his relationship with the board.

De Boer was presented at the Nerazzurri stadium this morning at San Siro saying “I want to thank Inter. We all speak the same language – myself, the president and the management team. We want to win.”

“I hope to get us on the right track as soon as possible, but obviously it’s not going to be easy”

The Dutchman brings with him a wealth of international experience having played at the highest level for both club and country.

Between 1990 and 2004 De Boer played 112 times and scored 13 goals for the Oranje. At club level for AFC Ajax he lifted five Eredivisie titles, the UEFA Champions League trophy, the UEFA Cup, the UEFA Supercup, and the Intercontinental Cup. He also played for FC Barcelona, Galatasaray S.K. and Rangers F.C. among others.

As Head Coach of AFC Ajax De Boer won four consecutive Eredivisie titles between 2011 and 2014.
