Granada has sacked Paco Jemez after a nightmare start to the season

Granada, Spain – After starting the season with zero wins in six La Liga games, Granada have officially sacked coach Paco Jemez.

Granada CF has decided to terminate the coach Paco Jemez stage at the helm. After studying in detail the current situation and the results obtained, it has taken this decision unanimously.” the statement read.

The defeat against Alaves was the straw which broke the camel’s back. The club ran out of patience and decided it was time to act, breaking off their relationship with the man they had only appointed in the summer.

Granada are now combing the market in search of a replacement for Jemez, who left Rayo Vallecano at the end of last season, and have reportedly been doing so since early on Tuesday.

Granada sit in the bottom three with just two points from 18. It’s a figure which sees them equal their worst ever start in the top flight, which was in 1941-42.
