Johnny Manziel’s Latest Debacle

Johnny Manziel has hit an all time low. The former Texas A&M star, has been accused of drug abuse.

His lawyer Bob Hinton “accidentally” revealed his client’s alleged abuse to the Associated Press, through a text message.

The text claims that Manziel recently spent over $1,000 on drug paraphernalia. Fifteen hours after his hit and run incident earlier this week.

Hinton was seeking a plea deal for Manziel’s domestic violence case. He actually meant to send the text to a colleague. He instead texted the AP,

“Heaven help us if one of the conditions is to pee in a bottle.”

In late January, Johnny ruptured his girlfriend’s eardrum. Clearly, Manziel needs some sort of help.

His father, Paul, expressed his sentiments to ESPN’s Josenia Anderson in a recent interview.

“He’s a druggie. It’s not a secret that he’s a druggie,”

Paul Manziel said in a phone interview Friday.

“I don’t know what to say other than my son is a druggie and he needs help. He just hasn’t [sought] it yet. Hopefully he doesn’t die before he comes to his senses. That’s about all you can say. I don’t know what else to say.”

Manziel’s father elaborated more on his son’s issues.

“He has more money than me, so he can outrun me. Like I said, there are two things that are going to happen: He’s either going to die, or he’s going to figure out that he needs help. It’s one of the two. But we’ve done everything that we can do. Life goes on. You can’t just chase somebody that’s not willing to listen. The story is not going to change. It’s the same.”

The former 2014 first round pick was released in March, after two dreadful seasons in Cleveland.

It’s unfortunate that Manziel turned out this way. Many pundits aren’t surprised; neither is his father but maybe “Johnny Football” was doomed from the start.

Manziel’s father sounds as if he’s fed up with his son’s antics.

“We’re so far past what everybody thinks we are past. People are ignorant. It’s just a horrible story. That’s all there is to it. I mean, I hate to say it, but I hope he goes to jail. I mean, that would be the best place for him.”
