Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon has been reinstated by the National Football League on a conditional basis the league said on Monday. He was previously denied reinstatement on April 13, following a meeting with commissioner Roger Goodell.

Gordon was suspended for the entirety of the 2015 season for violating league policies relating to substance abuse after he failed an alcohol test, which violated the terms of a previous drug-related suspension.

The terms of his reinstatement are that he must serve a four game suspension for violating the leagues substance abuse policy.  He will be able to attend all team meetings, practices, and other activities.

The 25-year old Pro Bowler is one of the most talented receivers in the league, and it will be interesting moving forward to see how he can contribute alongside new quarterback Robert Griffin III and newly-appointed head coach Hue Jackson. Gordon will join a recently bolstered receiving corps that includes Baylor wide receiver Corey Coleman, the Browns 2016 first-round pick.

This appears to be Gordon‘s final shot at a chance in the NFL, as any further violations could result in removal from the league.

He is slated to return for a Week 5 match up against the New England PatriotsTom Brady will also be returning from suspension following the denial of his appeal stemming from the much-talked-about Deflategate scandal.
