Juventus winger Patrice Evra will join Olympique Marseille pending physical

Marseille, France – French defender Patrice Evra is set to leave Juventus to join Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille according to Fabrisio Romano and Mohamed Bouhafsi.

The 35-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Wednesday or Thursday and will likely sign an 18-month contract with the French club.

Evra ​had previously been linked with a move to Crystal Palace, but following the arrival of Jeffrey Schlupp and the expected signing of Patrick Van Aanholt  it appears Sam Allardyce has opted against signing the former United defender.

Evra had also been linked with moves to Sunderland, Lyon and Valencia this month.

Evra, who has won back-to-back doubles with Juve since joining from Manchester United in 2014. The full-back turns 36 in May his Juve contract was set to expire this summer.

Evra won the Premier League five times, the League Cup three times, the Community Shield five times, the Champions League once and the FIFA Club World Cup once.
