Kevin-Prince Boateng joins Las Palmas

Las Palmas, Spain – Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has agreed terms with La Liga side Las Palmas on a one-year deal, the club has confirmed.

The 29-year-old had been without a club following the end of a six-month spell at Italian club AC Milan.

Las Palmas confirmed the deal on its club website, which states Boateng is “the most important foreign player who has joined the club in recent decades”.

The Ghana international will join the Canary Islands outfit that did well to finish in La Liga’s 11th place last season.

Besides his stint at AC Milan from 2010 to 2013 that included a Serie A title, Boateng has also played for Hertha Berlin, Tottenham Hotspur, Borussia Dortmund, Portsmouth and Schalke.

Boateng made only one league start during his second spell at the San Siro, having arrived on a short-term deal in January after leaving Bundesliga side Schalke.
