Larson Wins Xfinity Race In Texas

Brad Keselowski had the field covered from the minute the NASCAR Xfinity Series rolled into Texas Motor Speedway. He won the pole position and followed it up by leading 145 of the 200 laps. But Kyle Larson stayed close all day and when he saw a chance to steal the win, he pounced and rode to victory in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge.

Larson took the lead from Keselowski on the final restart after the fifth yellow flag of the afternoon, holding on for the last 29 laps to score his second Xfinity win of the season. Keselowski got close but simply could not get by Larson and ended the day second, .6 seconds behind the leader. Kevin Harvick brought his Chevrolet home in third, Erik Jones was fourth and Daniel Suarez was fifth. Suarez also finished fifth in the Camping World Truck race on Friday night.

The chase for the championship is still completely up for grabs as the tour moves to Phoenix for the penultimate race of 2016. All 8 drivers still in contention finished in the top 15 on Saturday, leaving no driver in a must-win situation. However, no one is locked in either, with Cup drivers claiming the first two victories in this round of the Xfinity chase,

Only one race remains until the championship field will be trimmed to four. Live coverage of NASCAR Xfinity Series racing from Phoenix International Raceway airs on NBCSN at 7:30 pm ET Saturday, November 12th.
