Real Madrid officials are willing to sell James Rodriguez before the summer transfer deadline

Madrid, Spain – According to Nacho Peña of El Chiringuito de Mega, Jorge Mendes, Jose Angel Sanchez and an official from an English club met on Thursday in the Spanish capital to talk about James Rodriguez and a potential sell.

According to Peña’s sources, the club will only sell James for an offer that rounds around 70 million euros, if no one meets it, the Blancos will keep him and he will have to fight for a spot on the roster.

According to several reports from the British capital, Mendes (James’ agent) has told Arsenal and Chelsea that Madrid is willing to sell the Colombian star.

Contrary to this, Madrid boss continues to say that James will stay with the club – obviously this helps the club to boost the player’s cost.

“James is here, I am happy with how he played and he will be staying here,” he said.

“I will always respond in the same way to that, I’m tired of having to give a response. My stance is not going to change.”

However, Zidane has kept James as a reserve for most of the time during his time as Real’s manager.

Zidane’s depth chart has been in favor of Lucas Vasquez, Isco and even rookie Marco Asensio, leaving James as the 15th option.

The club has until August 1st to determine what they will do with the Colombian midfielder.
