Matt DiBenedetto To Race For Go Fas Racing Next Season

After being let go at BK Racing last week, Matt DiBenedetto has found a new team to race for next season.

Go Fas Racing announced Thursday that it will bring in the soon-to-be third year driver in NASCAR’s premier series for all 36 races, starting at the Daytona 500 in February. DiBenedetto will drive the team’s 32 car with a charter leased from Richard Petty Motorsports’ #44 team to ensure it’s spot on the grid every week.

“I am very excited to join Go Fas Racing for the 2017 season! We have a great group of people that I am very excited to work with this season! I am thankful for the opportunity and I look forward to representing the team and sponsors to the best of my ability!” said Matt DiBenedetto in the team’s statement.

The move for Go Fas Racing is unprecedented for the team, as they will only have to focus on one driver for all 36 races, something the team hasn’t done yet in it’s 6 prior years as a team. The team had 8 different drivers in it’s 32 car last season alone.

Additionally, Go Fas Racing will have several sponsors returning for 2017, with the recently renewed partnership with Can-Am/Kappa being the primary for 13 races. Other partners include Keen Parts, Visone RV, Really Cheap Floors and others.
