Lorenzo Cain

Royals centerfielder Lorenzo Cain has been placed on the fifteen-day disabled list after he strained his right hamstring trying to beat out a throw to first on Tuesday night. The Kansas City Royals trainers had to be called out to help Cain of the field after he was seen grabbing his leg in pain. Cain is expected to return after the all star break if all goes well.

Matt Davidson

The Chicago White Sox bad luck with rookies this season continues as third baseman Matt Davidson has been placed on the disabled list after fracturing his foot in his team debut. Davidson had gotten his first hit as a member of the White Sox in the 4th inning, but while rounding first base Davidson felt his foot go numb. After the inning he talked to the trainer and was removed from the game. Davidson will be evaluated further in the coming days to set up a return timeframe.

 Joe Panik

After getting hit by a pitch on tuesday it has been confirmed that the San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik has a mild concussion and has been placed on the seven-day disabled list. Manager Bruce Bochy is hoping that seven days is all that it will take before Panik is ready to play again as Panik joins an already packed Giants disabled list.

Gavin Floyd

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Gavin Floyd is expected to miss 8-12 weeks after tearing his right lat muscle during last saturday’s game against the Chicago White Sox. Floyd will not require any surgery as confirmed by Blue Jays manager John Gibbons but the healing process will take quite a while. Floyd has been know to have bad luck with injuries in the past and the torn lat muscle just adds another blow to the Blue Jays bullpen.
