Manchester, England – Regardless of the score of the FA CUP final on Saturday, Louis van Gaal will vacate his position and Jose Mourinho will be presented as new boss of the Manchester United Red Devils.

AS reports that the Old Trafford front office will release a statement following United’s clash against Crystal Palace to announce Mourinho as the club’s next manager, ending van Gaal’s tenure one year before his deal was set to expire.

As also claims that Mourinho has signed a pre-contract that ties him to the Red Devils and should he not take charge of the team, he would be entitled to millions of dollars of compensation. Mourinho will reportedly earn up to €15 million ($16.8m) per season, and it is believed he’ll be given the same transfer budget that van Gaal has had to play with.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager would become United’s third manager in three years since Sir Alex Ferguson vacated his 26-year reign. For Mou, this would be his first appointment since Chelsea sacked him in December after a horrific start to the club’s Premier League title defense and placing the Blues in relegation zone.

The Special One will have the chance at an open market of players, just like van Gaal would have had. Many La Liga players from Real Madrid and Barcelona are being mentioned as possible recruits for the Red Devils.
