NFL Media Receives Sports Emmy Nominations

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced today that NFL Media has received 21 Sports Emmy nominations. In fact, this is the second most nominations they have received. In 2013, they received 24.

What is NFL Media?

NFL Media is comprised of six digital media outlets; NFL Network, NFL Films, NFL RedZone, NFL.com, NFL Mobile from Verizon, and NFL Now.

The Nominees Are…..

NFL Film’s first streaming series, “All or Nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals”, and “Good Morning Football” have both earned nominations in their debut seasons. Consequently, “All or Nothing” is nominated for the Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary award along with “Undrafted” and “Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Los Angeles Rams”. In addition, “Good Morning Football” shares a nomination in the Outstanding Studio Show – Daily category with “NFL Total Access”. Consequently, this is the second nomination for “NFL Total Access” in this category.

“Hard Knocks” received nominations in four categories; Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary, Outstanding Camera Work, Outstanding Music Direction, and Outstanding Post-Produced Audio/Sound.

“All or Nothing”, “Hard Knocks”, and “Undrafted” were all nominated for Outstanding Serialized Sports Documentary. As a result, NFL Media secured more than half of the nominations.

NFL Network earned a nomination for Outstanding Technical Team Studio for their 2016 NFL Draft coverage. As a matter of fact, this is the second year in a row for this nomination.

NFL Films earned their tenth consecutive nomination in the Outstanding Post-Produced Audio/Sound category with “Hard Knocks”. Incidentally, the show has won 14 Sports Emmy Awards since its debut in 2001.

Other nominees include Thursday Night Football, Tracy Wolfson, Cris Collinsworth, Jim Nantz, and NFL 360: Mr. Relevant.
