Nolito Will Join Manchester City This Summer

Manchester, England – Spain international Nolito has agreed to join Manchester City on a three-year deal.

City will pay the buyout clause from Celta Vigo for 18 million euros.

The 29-year-old striker will join the Premier League club upon wrapping up participation with Spain in the Euro 2016.

Nolito has been Pep Guardiola’s number one target for his offense since joining City this summer. Guardiola sees him as capable of playing in a City front-three alongside fellow Spain star David Silva and Sergio Aguero. However, he also sees him capable of playing through the middle and generally being a hugely valuable player at such a bargain price.

Barcelona, another interested in his services, failed to acquire the striker in January as they could not afford the fee at the time.

Coach Luis Enrique is a massive fan and has worked with the player both when he coached Barca B and when he managed Celta Vigo.

However, should he had chosen Barcelona he would had been in a role, similar to Pedrito.
