Piotr Zielinski Has Signed With Napoli

Naples, Italy – Poland international striker Piotr Zielinski has joined Serie A side Napoli from Udinese for 16 million euros, the club has announced.

The Campania club have paid a reported 16 million euros to the Bianconeri, with Zielinski following compatriot Arkadiusz Milik through the San Paolo entrance door.

“Napoli communicates that it has signed the sporting contract of Piotr Sebastian Zielinski, from Udinese,” a statement on the Azzurri’s website reads.

He made his debut in Serie A in 2012 when he replaced Antonio Di Natale on the 91st minute of a match against Cagliari. He had been on-loan to Empoli since 2014 where he played 63 matches while scoring five goals.

The striker was brought in to replace Gonzalo Higuain who joined rivals Juventus for 75 million euros last week – the third highest transfer fee in history.

Napoli have also agreed deals for former Sunderland forward Emanuele Giaccherini and center-back Lorenzo Tonelli.
