PSG Ties Cristiano Ronaldo For Next Season

Madrid, Spain – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has made a moved for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. The French club has come to an agreement with Jorge Mendes, representative of the Portuguese player, to assure them preferential option should Cristiano Ronaldo decide to leave Real Madrid, according to Le Parisien.

Cristiano Ronaldo was rumored to be on his way out of Real Madrid all season long but his top performances against La Liga rival Barcelona and Champions rival Wolfsburg turned things around. Several reports from the Spanish capital indicate the 31-year-old is in talks about a contract extension with the White House front office that will keep him with the club beyond 2018.

PSG was recently eliminated from Champions in quarterfinals by Manchester City. The French club has been inclining to make the jump to the top European clubs since building a team around Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but have failed. They are convinced that Cristiano Ronaldo would give them that jump start that they have been needing since 2012.

With Ibrahimovic leaving this summer (to Manchester United according to several media outlets), his possible quality replacement would be the Portuguese star. The move seems almost impossible as Cristiano has expressed being happy in Madrid and would much rather finish his contract with the Merengues in 2018. Also, making this move would bring undo burden on the club president, Florentino Perez, for making such an absurd move.

Also, for Cristiano Ronaldo, leaving the club would only take away from the world-center-stage he is in. Real Madrid, by far, is one of the stages that are known worldwide.
