Report: Philadelphia Eagles Looking For First Or Second Round Pick For Bradford

CBS Sports NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright says the Philadelphia Eagles are looking for “a first (round pick) or two second (round picks)” in exchange for Sam Bradford.

This comes after Sam Bradford refused to attend anymore workouts for the team and demanded to be traded Monday. Bradford was clearly upset at the Eagles’ trade last week for the No. 2 overall pick.

The Eagles acquired the No. 2 overall pick from the Cleveland Browns last Thursday in a blockbuster trade, using draft picks acquired in two previous trades in order to potentially get a QB.  The Eagles made the trade despite signing Bradford and former Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Chase Daniel this offseason, doling out $34 million in guaranteed money to the quarterbacks.

Allbright also suggests in the same report that “the bar is set prohibitively high because (the Eagles) don’t actually want to move him.” Meaning, Philadelphia has some plans to utilize Bradford to some extent despite the ongoing turmoil.

Bradford, who started 14 games and went 7-7 with him as a starter last season after the Eagles acquired him in an offseason trade with the Rams. was to be the starting QB prior to the trade and is now speculated on either being sent somewhere or being a backup depending on what happens down the road.
